“Everyone occasionally feels blue or sad. But these feelings are usually short-lived and pass within a couple of days. When you have depression, it interferes with daily life and causes pain for both you and those who care about you. Depression is a common but serious illness.” National Institute of Mental Health

In York and Adams Counties, 3 in 5 adults report having one or more days with depressive symptoms during the past two weeks.  Depression is common locally and across the county.  You or someone you love is likely to experience depressive symptoms at some point in your life.

We hope the weekly tips and other resources on this website help you and your loved ones find ways to feel better, talk to a doctor about your feelings and learn more about depression.
